I’d hate to let my beautiful new website stagnate, so in an effort to keep things fresh, I have this blog post, announcements, and a new segment called “Sunshine Says.”
First, announcements:
There’s only 1 day left to score the bonus materials with your preorder of Uprooted. Among other things you get two desktop wallpapers, bookmark templates, the chance to get a signed bookmark, and deleted scenes from “Uprooted.” And this is all on top of the signed, lettered chapbook for a measly $6, which includes shipping!
There’s also only 1 day left to enter the contest and win a shirt, horror magazines, stickers, and much more.
I appreciate everyone who has supported me through this, my first print release. To everyone who has purchased a copy, entered the contest, blogged, tweeted, and wished me well, I thank you so very much. I can’t tell you how much it means to me.
Now then–as I wipe the mistiness from my eyes–I’ve been toying around with this idea for a while, and I finally decided to just do it. Every week or so I will post a new addition to “Sunshine Says” here on the blog. It won’t always be Sunshine. Sometimes it will be Zed. Sometimes Bobo. But always–I hope–humorous. I’ll probably set up a separate page to catalog the archives of “Sunshine Says” as well.
For those who don’t know, Sunshine is the human skull that whispers awful things to me while I write. For the first time ever, I present her–and her friends’– perverse mutterings to the world. Enjoy!
Sunshine is freaky. 😀
I know, she’s always saying the strangest things.
in light of the fact that I was just playing Fallout, the second comment (2 in the head) was particularly appropriate. Like the new digs.
Thanks, Marcy! Interestingly enough, i was just playing Fallout (New Vegas) as well. Strange. And awesome.
I have a skull on my desk too. His name is Edmund and he sits beside my framed photo of Vincent Price. They both provide endless inspiration.
Nice! I don’t have the Vincent Price photo, but I do have a creepy nun.
