I am putting my short stories on hold for the rest of the summer so I can get deep into my novel, “Twilight.” I started working on this novel over a year ago, and continued working on it through this past November, at which point I had to put it aside due to increasing amounts of grad work.
Finally, having some more time to work, I have re-read what I had written, and added a thousand words to it today. I posted a word meter on the sidebar to keep track of my progress. The 50,000 word count is an estimation of course.

One last short story I am still working on just needs some last revisions and edits before I can send it out. Other than that, I am focusing on the novel. I even went out and did a couple hours of research today.
Good luck with the novel. I’ve been working on my main one for over a year. It’s definitely harder than writing a short.
Thanks, Benjamin. Yeah, it’s tough to find the time. I can’t really make a ovel work unles I am writing a bit every single day. Otherwise I lose the motivation and forget what my characters are doing.
That’s why I had to re-read what was written and try to get back into it.
Good luck with yours as well.
