I guess I went into a little hibernation for a while there. It happens. Maybe to me more often, but there it is.
We’re deep into my second favorite season, and there’s even a little bit of the old white stuff on the ground outside.
You know, I just about deleted this post and decided to let the blog stagnate even longer. My desire to update this thing isn’t quite there yet I guess. How about some writing news:
I have a few releases slated for this year. It’s all tentative though. Sometime around February my chapbook “Uprooted” should come out. It’ll have a couple reprints in it along with the titular story.
Then sometime between spring and summer (and maybe as late as winter), my story “When Ayanna Kapoor Waits,” will appear in an issue of OnSpec magazine. I also have a story entitled “Loosely Enforced Rules”–a personal favorite–set to appear in the next issue of Black Ink Horror, but I have no idea when that will come out.
And finally, my first novel, Soundtrack to the End of the World will be released late this year.
I”m hounding my brother to get a proper website up and running before the first release of this year, so we’ll see how that goes.
As always, you can find my reviews on Dark Scribe Magazine. My most recent was for Benjamin Kane Ethridge’s first novel, Black & Orange.
If you have yet to read this book, go check out the review and buy his book. You won’t regret it.
Well, there you have it. My triumphant return to blogging. Hope I didn’t blind anyone with my brilliance.
thanks for the recommendation 🙂
Welcome back to blogging! Although my absence wasn't as long as yours, we seem to have returned on the same day. 🙂
Good times…and I'm working on edits for Uprooted (or should be instead of reading blogs) right "now". 😉
Welcome back. Sounds like you have a fantastic year ahead.
Thanks, gang. Glad to see I didn't lose my *entire* readership. 😉
