In an effort to beef up my subscriber list, I decided to hold a little raffle.
This is as easy as it gets. Sign up to my newsletter on the sidebar or here: Newsletter Sign Up.
Once I reach 50 subscribers, I will use a random number generator to choose one person from the subscription list to receive a signed, numbered chapbook, published by Cemetery Dance: “Tanglewood” by Ronald Kelly. It is copy 361 out of 500.
Depending on how well this raffle goes, I may hold more in the near future. I have a number of signed Cemetery Dance publications that I wouldn’t mind parting with for contests.
I’ll post updates on twitter, so follow me there if you’d like to receive the updates. Re-Tweets are much obliged and will most likely speed up the contest significantly.
Good luck!
The fine print: If you are already signed up to the newsletter, you ARE eligible for this contest. I currently have seven (7) subscribers, so forty-three (43) more people need to sign up before the raffle ends. The contest will go on as long as it takes to reach the total fifty (50) subscribers. I will e-mail the winner with the provided e-mail address (so please use your real e-mail) with further instructions. Only the first 50 people to sign up will be eligible for this raffle. So for instance, if you are the 51st person on the list, you will not be entered into this particular raffle. You WILL, however, be included in the next one (to be announced at a later date). I will give the winner one (1) week to respond to my e-mail. If they do not, I will choose a new winner.
I'm excited – cool prize. But, I'm also disappointed – I thought it was your chapbook. Do you know when it will be out yet?
Cool contest. Don't think I've read anything by Ronald Kelly before. I guess it's a good thing I already signed up for your newsletter. 🙂
Cate, I think it comes out around winter. But your chapbook has to come out first before mine can come out! 🙂 It's with the Sand's Chapbook line too.
Thanks, Andrea. Yuppers, you have a reserved spot. 😉
Nope, my little book is out in October (at the moment, subject to change blah, blah :D). Mine isn't for Sand's chapbook line, it's for the single author collection line (that sounds so cool – though I think pointing out that I'm single is a bit harsh).
Have you seen your cover yet? Mine is to die for.
Oh, my mistake. 😛 Nope, haven't seen the cover yet. In our last communication he told me he'd contact me near the end of the summer for edits and whatnot.
I think I'm looking forward to the release of your chapbook more than mine! 😀
Ha, just realized yours is a book, not a chapbook! Now I'm even more excited. 🙂
You should be it's brilliant.*
*This may not in fact be true.
I'm in. I'll put a link on my blog too.
Thanks,
Cate, I know it is.
Thanks, E! I appreciate it, and good luck.
Hey you want me to pimp this on my blog too Onipar? This is a great idea!! Good luck with your subscribers… I already did, should I do it again? Like the new digs too!! The leaves are a nice touch!
K. thanks for the offer! If you wanted to do a quick post about the raffle, that'd be great. Thanks again. 😀
You don't have to sign up again though; you're already on the list.
