2010 is looking up.
There’s always the trouble of caging the brain-trolls that wriggle free and chomp on my gray matter, but I’ve managed it to some extent. And there’s always the herding of stray shadows leaking from my ears, but I’ve maintained.
Luckily, balancing out these atrocities this year is a steady stream of acceptance letters. Yesterday I received a “yes” from Black Ink Horror, a cool print magazine that has an abundance of art along with the stories they publish. The issue won’t be out for while, but I couldn’t resist mentioning the acceptance.
This makes four acceptances in four month, hence the whole “story to month” ratio thing.
I know I’ve “announced” this next bit at least twice before, but with the shock of good news, I’ve decided it might be time to finally put up a proper website. In the past, I’ve never had enough news or publications to really justify dropping money on a website and domain name. Maybe now?
It’s still up in the air. I may wait and see if the lucky streak continues.

I have my proper website even though I don't have much to put on it. Probably why I opted for free over paying for something professional attached to a domain name.

It's always so exciting getting acceptances! As writers, there's not much "benefit" (as far as money goes) so it's mostly about validation and pride.
