It’s 2013, and I haven’t posted here since October.
I’ll admit, it was partly due to negligence, but mostly, I was burned out. It was the end of a two-month long blog tour (one that became increasingly disappointing in turnout and response), and I was more than ready to quit marketing my novel. I had given it my all–to varied effect–and saw that I had hit a wall.
My dead horse had been thoroughly beaten.
I meant to simply stop promoting the novel, but that translated into my completely ignoring this blog. I needed the time off. I think the few of you who still visit my site probably needed the break too.
But now I’m back. The marketing? I’ll leave my ineffective banners to carry that torch. This blog? It will return to its former glory and once again become a place where one can read about tormented rat kings sitting atop hamburger mountains.
Don’t try to figure it out, just roll with it.
Good to have you back! You needed the break, as we all do.
Thanks! Most assuredly. 🙂
I still can’t scrape up enough energy to make a post in my own blog. Glad to see you’re coming back into the fold. (Hugs) Indy
Thanks, Indy. It was a quick post; I couldn’t manage much more to be honest.
I’m glad you’re back too! =)
Thanks!
All hail the rat king! Welcome back, Tony. I’ve toyed with the idea of annihilating my social media presence — but I’m sure I’ll find a use for it (Twitter? Maybe not.) someday.
Thanks, Milo! I’m finding less and less reason to stay uber-connected to the degree I used to be. But I do still like having a presence so I can get in touch with you awesome writer-folk. 🙂
Welcome back. I’ve been a neglectful blogger also. Sorry to hear you got all burned out because of your book tour.
Thanks, Cate! Yeah, I think I’ll bounce back 🙂
At least you have something to promote. I’m too lazy to get far enough along to get burned out.
Yeah, that’s true. 🙂
