News has come down the wire that my chapbook, UPROOTED, has officially sold out! Thanks to everyone who has helped to spread the word about this, and of course thank you to everyone who has purchased a copy.
This was the first time I actively participated in the marketing of something I wrote, and I had a blast doing it. I can’t wait until later this year when I have a little more cash to play with while putting together some bonus content for the novel.
In other writing news, I have two or three stories that are sitting on the edge of executive decisions. The stories can still fall either way: into the dark chasm of rejection, or onto the mountaintop of acceptance. I’m hoping the final word will come soon. Waiting is sometimes a hard game to play.
In the meantime, I’ll be posting installments of “Sunshine Says,” so be on the lookout.
Happy weekend!
Congrats! So glad that I snagged a copy before it sold out. Now don’t ever reprint it so I can feel good about my meager collection of limited edition work. 🙂
And yes, waiting is the worst. I’m waiting to hear back on another story that I sent out at the end of February. Supposed to hear something by the end of March and since I haven’t received a rejection yet, I assume I made it to the second round of reading for the anthology.
Trying to just keep myself immersed in the other stories I’m writing.
Thanks, Gary. Yeah, whenever a mag has my story longer than they should, i start thinking good thoughts (and pray they didn’t just lose it). Keeping busy with new stories is the best way around it, which is why the waiting is killing me: I haven’t been writing much as of late.
Congrats, man. Glad to hear it.
Thank you, Sir. It’s a good feeling.
Such great news! I’m waiting with bated breath for my copy to arrive.
I, too, have a few stories out in submission land. Maybe our collective tales are co-mingling, keeping one another company.
Thanks, Mary! I hope the chapbook (and prize pack) arrive soon.
Congrats!!
Congratuations–what excellent news! It’s such a pretty chapbook, I keep touching it every time I walk by. Can’t wait to pick it up.
Thanks, E.!
Katey, Aaron really did do a great job on that cover. I hope you like what’s inside just as much.
Shaun, thanks so much. Indeed, they are pretty nice when referring to a book.
Sold Out. When used in the context of a book or chapbook, they are two great words:) Congrats.
Speaking as one that knows a bit about how hard it is to push a chapbook, I think a big CONGRATS are in order!
Thanks, Barry. I really appreciate that.
